Sports Show Feb 14 – 18
Volunteers are needed to man our booth at the Sports Show. Our
booth #s are 824 & 826 by the fish tank in Vets Hall “A”.
Two volunteers are needed for each of the following dates and
times:
Feb 14, 5 pm - 9 pm
Feb 15, 2 pm – 5:30 pm
Feb 15, 5:30 pm – 9 pm
Feb 16, 2 pm – 5:30 pm
Feb 16, 5:30 pm – 9 pm
Feb 17, 10 am – 2 pm
Feb 17, 2 pm – 6 pm
Feb 17, 6 pm – 9 pm
Feb 18, 11 am – 2 pm
Feb 18, 2 pm – 5 pm
To sign up as a volunteer for one of these times contact Rod
Kent at the bar or call him at 515-285-2358.
Also let Rod know of any ideas you might have for things that
could be done to make our booth more effective.Door Prizes

First Annual
Hunting & Fishing Swap Meet!
The Chapter’s First Annual Hunting and Fishing Swap Meet is
scheduled for January 27 and 28. The admission fee is $3.00 and
free for ages 16 and under.
Items that our 30+ vendors will be selling include: buffalo
meat, fishing and hunting gear, antique fishing lures, knives
and knife sharpening, Rathbun rental cabins, Canadian vacation,
artist prints, reloading equipment and much more! 2007 hunting
and fishing licenses will be available.
The DNR will provide programs Saturday and Sunday on the 2007
fishing forecast, ice fishing tips and spring turkey hunting
tips and calling techniques. An archery clinic for youngsters
will be hosted by Outdoors Dan on Saturday afternoon. There will
also be laser guns to test your shooting skills. Food and
refreshments will also be available. We plan to raffle a 12
gauge Benelli Nova shotgun.
We will have a membership table to sign up new members or to
renew memberships. Bring along a friend or friends with you who
may be interested in joining our ranks!
