Notes
From President, Tom Holm
Well, the holidays are over and we are now,
hopefully, back to our normal routine.
As is customary, the club house was closed
for a two week hiatus from the normal routine. However, this
does not mean there was a total moratorium from activity. This
time was used as an opportunity to strip and wax all the floors
in the dining room and bar. Thanks to Larry Clark, John Siders,
Jean Schooley and Jerry Evans for their many hours of hard work
in making our club house clean and shiny. Also, a special
thanks to Jack Soulis, Capital Sanitary Supply Co, for the use
of a power floor stripper.
In addition to our planned work we had, as
many of you are aware, an unplanned event that led to extending
the closure an additional week. Monday, January 3rd a water
main broke on the outside of the building. Upon its repair on
Tuesday, a number of ancillary problems were discovered that
required another two days to rectify.
