Time to Order
Trees and Shrubs
Now is the perfect time to order and get conservation trees and
shrubs from the Iowa State Forest Nursery in Ames, at cost of
production. The nursery has bareroot seedlings of over 45 native
tree and shrub species for landowners to purchase and plant for
conservation purposes including wildlife habitat. While most of
the packages are for those with an acreage carrying a minimum
order of 500 plants they do have wildlife packets for those
wanting to plant an acre of land. Also, for those with a large
backyard they have a 20 tree and shrub songbird packet designed
in cooperation with the Iowa Audubon Society that sells for just
$20.
