Bananas, The
Wonder Fruit
Bananas contain three natural sugars – Sucrose, Fructose and
Glucose combined with fiber. You may already be aware that
research has proven that they provide a boost of energy. But are
you aware of some of the illnesses and conditions that they help
to overcome or prevent?
Some of the conditions they help to alleviate are: Depression,
Anemia, Blood Pressure, Hangovers (a banana milkshake sweetened
with honey calms the stomach and builds up depleted blood sugar
levels), Mosquito bites (Many people have found that rubbing the
affected area with the inside of a banana skin was amazingly
successful at reducing swelling and irritation). |

Hillbilly
Auction – April 10
It’s that time of year again. Spring cleaning time! A time to
gather up all those things that have been in the way and
gathering dust. Set them aside to bring to the spring Hillbilly
Auction on April 10.
You will not only be freeing up some storage space, but in the
process will help out the Uncle Ikes program. The Hillbilly
auctions are the primary source of funding for this great
program.
If you have nothing to bring, come anyway to have some fun and
bid on some items of interest.
Door Prizes
Note: We are in need of door prizes for the weekly drawing.
See Steve Roe, Program Chairman if you can donate an item.
Make sure you
sign your dinner ticket to be eligible to win. You
must be present to win. |
