Recognition
Let’s welcome the following new members who joined since the
last newsletter:
Mike E Delaney, John A Gallardo, Brian Onstot and Jeff S

Dates to Keep
Open
If possible, try to keep the following dates open for an
opportunity: June 2nd, June 9th and August 18th. On these dates
there will be an opportunity to participate in three of our most
significant projects.
June 2nd is the date of the annual Ikes/Dahls/Outdoors Dan
Family fishing clinic at Waterworks park.
June 9th is the annual “Special Person” fish day at Big Creek
State park.
August 18th is the annual River run/Garbage grab.
Details for signing up to participate by helping out at these
events will be posted in later newsletter editions.

Des Moines
Ikes Receives $8,000 Grant
Thanks to Prairie Meadows Racetrack & Casino for the $8,000
grant. The grant is for the purchase a John Boat , Trailer and
Motor, to be used in the annual river clean up, Special Person
fishing day and other projects calling for a boat.
A thank you to Fred Noon and Joe Gavin who prepared and
presented the proposal leading to the grant.

Dues are Now Considered Delinquent
This will be the last newsletter for unpaid members.
