Annual Shine and Show Car Show The Ikes’ 4th Annual Shine and Show Car Show will be held on July 20th, from 5:30 to 8:00 PM, weather permitting.  The show is open to Ike members and guests, but cars cannot be newer than 1972.  Bring your car to the North side of the chapter building for parking on the grass.  Upon registering, you will receive a free ticket to the annual sweet corn feed on July 30. There will be no judging at this event, so just come and enjoy. For more information, contact Roger Schoonover, 279-1998, or Bryan Stout, 244-4848.   Bar Talk – Beer Talk – Talk Talk How many times have you heard someone say they don’t understand why things were done this or that way or, why are prices what they are or, why can’t things be done differently? Family Fishing Day is a Great Success The “Outdoor Dan” Family fishing day, June 5th at Waterworks Park, was a great success with approx. 5000 people in attendance, including adults and 900 children, ages 2 to 15. For helping to make this event so successful I want to extend the following thank you: To the Sponsors, Dahl’s foods, the Tackle Shack, Line-X Spray on Bed Liners, Wells Blue Bunny, The Struve Subway Family, Sportsman’s Warehouse, Zebco and Quantum fishing gear, Plano Tackle Boxes, Tanis Holmquist, Berkley Power Bait, Iowa Realty, Bike World, Pathway Church and the many others that donated door prizes. TO THE MEDIA SPONSORS:  KRNT 1350, KIOA 93.3 FM, STAR 102 FM, LITE 104 FM, PRAISE 940 AM, KCCI Channel 8 News and Iowa Sportsman Magazine.
