Notes
From President, Tom Holm
As many of you already know, Tom arrived home from the Annual
Meeting and the following Monday night the storm blew a tree
down in his driveway. Therefore, due to other pressing matters
he was unable to put together anything for this edition’s notes.
4th Annual
River Run Garbage Grab
August 27 is the date for this year’s Annual River Run Garbage
Grab.
Although there are a few details to be worked out, at this
writing, the itinerary is as follows: Check in will be at the
Sycamore Park boat ramp on the Des Moines river at 8 a.m. Check
out will be approximately 2 p.m. at Bird land Marina.
Participating members and guests will enjoy food, beverage and
door prizes after check out.
Volunteers Needed!

Transport people
and/or vehicles between Sycamore Park and Birdland Marina.

People with small
boats to pick up garbage and take it to the big John boat that
will be operated by Bill Wineland of the DNR.

People to help
unload boats at Birdland Marina and put the garbage in bins.

People for general
help, as needed.

Help Needed!
We again need help to man the Ike’s booth at the State
Fair. Volunteers will receive a free ticket and an Ike’s T-Shirt
for working a four hour shift.
The Des Moines’ Ikes have been great filling in the open spots
during the week, so please find a partner and help out.

Annual Meeting
August 2nd
Don’t forget the Annual Meeting and election of Board
Members August 2.
The meeting will start at 5:30 and last approximately ½ hour,
during which the Bar will be closed and no meals served.
Thank You to:
Gary Trullinger for cleaning out our flower beds,
getting some new plantings and planting them.
Dennis Kellogg for donating outdoor books for our library.
Dennis has been bringing in more than a book amonth.
Uncle Ike’s
Annual Camp Out
The Uncle Ike’s Camp Out will be August 12, 13 and 14 at
Juneberry Loop of Prairie Flower Campground, north of
Saylorville Lake.

Hunter Safety Education Class tentative schedule, held from 6 pm to
9:30pm:

You must attend all three days of a session to receive your
certificate. To reserve a spot, call the Club House office at
