Highlights of the IWLA 2004 National Convention Jay Samuelson, your 2003/2004 President, provided the following highlights from the 2004 IWLA National Convention: An increase in National dues effective for 2005 was voted on and passed The increases are $10/year for an individual membership and $15/year for a family membership, bringing the National dues to $36 and $54 respectively. Chuck Eldridge, whom you all know is a member of our Board was elected President of the IWLA Endowment. Congratulations Chuck! The 2005 National Convention will be in Dubuque, Iowa. Jay Samuelson, on behalf of himself and the other delegates, would like to thank you for the opportunity to attend the National Convention. The workshops and seminars are very helpful.   A Parting Note From Your President Jay Samuelson, whose term as Board President is ending, offers the following note: “I would like to thank the many volunteers that put in their time at our Corn Feed and the many other projects during the year.” Let us all extend our thanks to Jay for his dedication of time and effort to the Chapter as the 2003/2004 President!

Hunter Safety Education Courses Hunter Safety Education course is august 16, 18 & 19 from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. in our Chapter House. You must attend all dates to successfully complete the course. My understanding is the August course is full, but you may want to verify that by calling the office at 244-3773. However, there is another session scheduled for September, but you need to sign up soon before it fills up as well.   Door prizes We are in need of door prizes for the weekly drawing.  See Mike Lucas if you can donate an item.   Thanks From Manager Larry Clark Larry extends a big thank you to all the volunteers at the Annual Corn Feed.
