Note From
President Fred Baumann
I would like to thank the members of the Board of Directors for
electing me as your President for this term. I will strive to
perform at my best, for this task set before me.
Membership will get a lot of attention in the coming months. We
must sustain a constant response to recruiting new members each
week. Our membership enrollment dropped this year by 150 plus
members. This must be reversed in order for the chapter to
survive.
I encourage all members to recruit new members this year. If
each member recruited just one new member we would exceed our
hopes. Incentives to help your recruiting of new members are in
the works and will be announced soon.

Note of
Commendation
Earlier this month we received a very nice note, via email from
Cindy Han, Assistant editor of the Outdoor America Magazine.
Since the note was one of recognition for our Chapter and
members, I thought it worthwhile to pass it on to the
membership.
”I had the pleasure of speaking with both Rod Kent and Dan Young
at length about the fishing day (Youth Fishing Day). The Fishing
Day sounds like quite a hit! We still plan to run a piece on it
in the fall issue. It was also fun to write the article on Larry
Anderson. We like to show the diversity of talent among our
members.
Thanks again for your help. Your Chapter is certainly an active
one that others can learn from.”
Hillbilly
Auction is October 4, 2005
Hey don’t forget this fun filled beneficial event. Clear the cob
webs off some of those seldom used or seen items and gather them
up for the auction. Not only is it fun, but you may even find a
real bargain or two. Remember the net proceeds from this event
are used to sponsor activities of the Uncle Ikes.
