A Generous
Member to the Rescue
One night, the last week in September, vandals victimized our
Chapter House. They broke out the glass in three entry doors to
the pit and demolished our mailbox.
The Chapter took care of getting the glass replaced, but Bruce
Hubbard rescued the mailbox by donating and installing a new
one. Thanks Bruce for your generous donation of time, effort and
resources.
Volunteers Needed for Chapter Grounds Clean-Up
A clean-up of the Chapter grounds has been scheduled for October
21 at 8:30 AM. Volunteers are needed for trimming trees and
bushes, removing weeds and other general clean-up tasks.
If you can help contact Jim Durbala or show up at the Club House
at 8:30 AM October 21 with your work clothes on ready to work
with your comrades in sprucing up our Club grounds.Door Prizes
Note: We are in need of door prizes for the weekly drawing.

Get Ready! The
Fall Hillbilly Auction is Coming!
The fall Hillbilly Auction is scheduled for October 31. Now is
the time to dig through those items in your basement or garage
gathering dust to see what you might want to have sold at the
auction.
Whether it be donating something or enjoying the process of
bidding on items it will be a fun experience. And, as an added
plus our Club Manager has a great menu planned for that evening.
Remember these auctions are the primary source of funding for
our Uncle Ikes program.
Reserve Your Swap Meet Space Now
Time is of the essence for Ike members wanting to rent space in
the January 27-28 Swap Meet. Ike members can reserve their 10’ X
10’ space for $25 instead of the $30 fee charged other vendors.
Details are being worked out with the DNR and “Outdoors Dan” for
holding seminars which will not be an added charge to the
admission charge to patrons.
